A few years ago, I was living my dream career in the mortgage world. I had worked tirelessly to reach that point, and life couldn’t have been better.

However, life threw us a curveball. Just weeks before I found out we were expecting, the company I loved faced financial difficulties and had to lay off several employees, including me. It was a tough pill to swallow, especially when the future seemed so uncertain.

But here’s the twist – I decided to see this as an opportunity for a new beginning. 

I invested in the tools I needed and embarked on a journey into the world of virtual assistance. The timing was far from ideal, with late-night feedings and diaper changes becoming my new norm, but I was determined.

I researched, learned, and honed my skills during every precious naptime. And it paid off. I launched my own virtual assistant business, “Chelsea Ross Virtual Assistant.”

Today, I’m proud to say that Chelsea Ross Virtual Assistant is growing and thriving. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible clients, assisting them with tasks ranging from Social Media Management to Market Research.

Balancing work and family life has its challenges, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve been there for every one of my daughter’s milestones, all while helping businesses succeed.

This journey has taught me that sometimes, life’s unexpected detours can lead to even more rewarding destinations. It’s a testament to the power of perseverance, adaptability, and the unwavering love of a mother.
